Physicswallah Limited, originally established as Physicswallah Private Limited in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh on June 6, 2020, transitioned to a public limited company named Physicswallah Limited on January 8, 2025. The company operates predominantly in the education sector, focusing on test preparation for competitive exams like NEET, JEE, MBA, UPSC, GATE, and CA through diverse modes of delivery, including online, offline, and hybrid formats.
Initially launching online courses, Physicswallah expanded its offerings significantly in 2021 by introducing a digital e-learning app, study material publication, and its first Pathshala Center in New Delhi. In 2022, the company launched a scholarship admission test, expanded to iOS platforms with its educational app, and established its Vidyapeeth center in Kota, Rajasthan—a major hub for competitive exam preparation in India.
Continuing its growth trajectory, the company acquired Xylem Learning Private Limited and Utkarsh Classes & Edutech Private Limited in 2023, adding depth to its portfolio. In 2024, Physicswallah introduced "AI Guru," an AI-powered tool designed to assist students with queries through text, image, and audio responses. Furthermore, in FY 2025, it entered a Memorandum of Understanding to provide educational support for families of Central Reserve Police Force personnel.
Physicswallah Limited is preparing to go public, with plans for an initial public offering (IPO) valued at Rs 3,820 crore. The offering includes a fresh issue of Rs 3,100 crore and Rs 720 crore through an offer for sale of equity shares priced at Re 1 each. As an established player in the growing edtech sector in India, the company is positioning itself as a key driver of accessible, technology-driven education services.
