About Phoenix International Ltd Phoenix International (PIL), originally established in 1987, is a public limited company engaged in the manufacturing and supply of synthetic footwear and shoe uppers, with operations based in Chennai, India. The company expanded its capacity with a Rs 130-crore project backed by IFCI, launching a plant in Ghaziabad in December 1995 to produce 6 million pairs of shoes annually. Notably, PIL has strategic partnerships with global brands like Reebok and Skechers, serving as a licensee for Skechers' diverse footwear models in India.
In addition to its footwear ventures, PIL has diversified its operations through subsidiaries, including Phoenix Industries Ltd and Phoenix Cement Ltd, with ongoing projects in cement manufacturing. The company has established its own brands, 'TUFFS' and 'MADAME PHOENIX', in the market.
