Ethyl Acetate is highly favored across markets as it increasingly substitutes petroleum-based solvents like Toluene and MEK. In the fiscal year 2012-13, due to uncompetitive market prices, the company opted to procure Acetic Acid from external sources rather than producing it from Ethanol or Acetaldehyde.
