Pasupati Acrylon Limited (PAL), established in 1982 and promoted by Mukesh Jain, is a prominent manufacturer of acrylic fibers, tow, tops, and Cast Polypropylene (CPP) film, with its production facility located in Thakurdwara, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. Initially starting with an installed capacity of 15,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) in 1990, the company expanded to 18,000 tpa by 1993 and further pursued an expansion plan to enhance production to 22,500 tpa, aiming to improve its competitive edge and margin contributions.
The company has invested in technology such as an additional thermo-stretching line to produce high-shrinkage fibers, catering to diverse applications including woollen knitwear and sportswear. In 1993, PAL went public with a rights offer to support its working capital. In March 2019, the company commenced commercial production of CPP film, further diversifying its product offerings. PAL has also implemented an extraction-based turbine to reduce utility costs, enhancing operational efficiency.
