Parmeshwari Silk Mills (PSM), established in 1993 and converted to a public limited company in 1995, specializes in manufacturing textiles, particularly suitings and shirtings. Promoted by S Parmjit Singh, S Jatinder Pal Singh, and Mrs. Prabhpreet Kaur, and managed by Jatinderpal Singh, the company sought to enhance its production capacity through a public issue in February 1996. This initiative involved the issuance of 1,560,000 equity shares at Rs 10 each, raising Rs 1.56 crore to fund the expansion. The expansion aimed to boost the manufacturing capacity of textile suitings from 384,000 to 960,000 meters per annum and shirtings from 432,000 to 612,000 meters per annum. This strategic move was designed to strengthen PSM's market position in the textile industry by significantly increasing its output capacity.
