About Park Medi World Ltd Park Medi World Limited is a prominent healthcare provider and the second-largest private hospital chain in North India, with a total bed capacity of 3,000 beds as of September 2024. It holds the distinction of being the largest private hospital chain in Haryana, with 1,600 beds in the state. The company operates a network of 13 NABH-accredited multi-super specialty hospitals under the "Park" brand, offering over 30 super specialty and specialty services, such as oncology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, neurology, and internal medicine.
Founded by Dr. Ajit Gupta, Park Medi World started with a single clinic in South Delhi in 2000, before establishing its maiden hospital in New Delhi in 2005. Since its incorporation in 2011, the company has significantly expanded its footprint in North India, particularly in Haryana, adding hospitals in key locations such as Gurugram, Panipat, and Karnal. Its growth has also included strategic acquisitions, such as Blue Heavens Health Care Private Limited (2020) and Umkal Health Care Private Limited (2021), further broadening its healthcare network.
The company has consistently increased its bed capacity, growing from 2,250 beds in March 2022 to 3,000 beds by September 2024. It is actively pursuing expansion plans with a pipeline of hospitals in cities like Ambala, Panchkula, Rohtak, New Delhi, and Gorakhpur to strengthen its market presence.
To support its growth strategy and operations, Park Medi World plans to raise Rs 1,260 crore through an Initial Public Offering (IPO), comprising Rs 960 crore from fresh equity issuance and Rs 300 crore through an offer for sale. This IPO will aid the company in capitalizing on its expansion initiatives while maintaining its position as a leading healthcare institution in North India.
