Orient Press Limited (OPL), founded in January 1987 and publicly traded since 1990, is a subsidiary of Madhuban Lending and Holdings. Initially focused on printing public issue stationery and computer printables, OPL expanded into flexible packaging in the mid-1990s. The company produces printed BOPP and multi-layer laminated films used for packaging items like processed foods, spices, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.
A significant step in its diversification was a public issue in 1993 to fund a paperboard carton manufacturing unit, using advanced computer-controlled machinery. This was followed by establishing a flexible packaging unit near Mumbai in 1995 and a multi-color paperboard carton unit at Silvassa in 1997. In 2018, OPL completed an expansion project at Greater Noida, enhancing its capacity to produce 300 Metric Tons per month of flexible packaging materials, which commenced commercial production in February 2018.
