Oil Country Tubular Limited (OCTL), established in 1985 and headquartered in Hyderabad, India, is a prominent producer of tubular goods for the oil and gas sector. With an integrated facility located in Narketpally, Andhra Pradesh, OCTL is renowned for manufacturing drill pipes, heavy weight drill pipes, tubing, casing, drill collars, and various oil field accessories such as rotary subs and lift plugs. The facility is equipped with advanced processes including upsetting, heat treatment, non-destructive testing, and hydrostatic testing, among others.
OCTL has expanded its production capacity from 25,000 to 50,000 tons per annum, supported by strategic partnerships with global entities like Baker Hughes Tubular Services and Grant Prideco. The company has secured significant contracts, including a notable Rs 120 crore order from ONGC and additional international orders, reinforcing its market presence. In 2015, OCTL further invested in a second heat treatment plant to enhance production capabilities, operational since September 2016, indicating its commitment to meeting rising demand in the oil and gas industry.
