About OCCL Ltd OCCL Limited, a part of the AG Ventures Group, specializes in manufacturing insoluble sulphur, sulphuric acid, and oleum, with facilities in Dharuhera, Haryana, and Mundra, Gujarat. The Dharuhera plant began producing sulphuric acid in 1978 and expanded to insoluble sulphur in 1994. Over the years, OCCL has significantly increased its production capacity, achieving an aggregated capacity of 39,500 MT per annum by March 2024. The Mundra plant, operational since 2011, has undergone multiple expansions to bolster its output.
In 2023-24, OCCL underwent a strategic restructuring through a Scheme of Arrangement, resulting in the demerger of its chemical business from Oriental Carbon & Chemicals Limited. This move, effective July 2024, involved the issuance of approximately 49.95 million equity shares to Oriental's shareholders, enhancing OCCL's market presence. This expansion and restructuring position OCCL as a key player in the chemical manufacturing sector, focusing on innovative production capabilities and strategic growth.
