About NTC Industries Ltd NTC Industries Ltd, formerly known as RDB Industries Ltd, operates in real estate development and cigarette manufacturing. Established on November 15, 1991, it originally focused on construction under the name R D Builders and Developers. In 1994, the company began manufacturing cigarettes after taking over the New Tobacco Company's assets. It went public the same year to fund its long-term working capital, expanding its cigarette production in Calcutta and exploring further business ventures. The company entered a strategic partnership with Sampoorna Asia Pte Ltd in 2003 to distribute the Exclusive cigarette brand in India.
In 1999, NTC Industries acquired New Tobacco Company's assets via court auction. The company expanded its real estate division, launching projects like Regent Ganga and Regent Paradise. However, in 2010, the real estate operations were demerged into RDB Realty & Infrastructure Limited. This restructuring led to the company's name change to NTC Industries Ltd in 2011, focusing primarily on its tobacco business.
