Norben Tea & Exports, originally incorporated as Daga Plantations in 1990, is a modern tea production company based in West Bengal. Renamed in 1994, Norben has developed extensive tea plantations and established a new factory in the tea-rich region of Jalpaiguri, with an annual production capacity of 19 lakh kg of made tea. This includes specialized production of 4.2 lakh kg of CTC tea and 5 lakh kg of Green Tea. The company has strategically acquired land totaling over 250 hectares in the Jalpaiguri district for further expansion.
Norben has focused on using 100% clonal varieties, allowing for high-quality, bright liquoring teas. Its operations are divided into three areas: Berubari, Pareshnagar, and Sakati, with additional cultivation planned at Singhimari. Utilizing indigenous technology and equipment from reputable suppliers, Norben ensures efficient production processes. The company's strategy includes expanding plantation areas and adopting advanced agricultural practices, reinforcing its position in the competitive tea market.
