About Nicco Parks & Resorts Ltd Nicco Parks & Resorts Ltd. (NPRL), established in 1989, is a joint sector venture between Nicco Corporation Ltd. and the Government of West Bengal. Located on the outskirts of Kolkata, it serves as a premier family entertainment and amusement destination in East India. The company operates a theme park, water park, and engages in activities such as retail merchandising and food and beverages. Opened to the public in October 1991, the park was developed with expertise from Blackpool Leisure & Amusement Consultancy Ltd. of the UK.
NPRL has continually expanded its offerings with innovative attractions, including India's first ride 'Cruiser' in 1999, an international standard wooden roller coaster 'Cyclone' in 2003, and various themed installations like the 'Eiffel Tower' replica and 'Haunted House' in subsequent years. The park has expanded internationally with a location in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Recent additions include the 'Tornado Funnel' and 'Thunder Bowl' water slides, introduced in 2023, enhancing its appeal as a comprehensive entertainment destination.
