The company faced challenges due to market fluctuations and labor strikes in its early years but resumed operations after refurbishing its plant in 2000-01. In 2005, NGL Fine-Chem expanded through the amalgamation of Alpha Organics Private Limited and Konarak Textile Industries Private Limited, adjusting its capital structure and share value in the process.
The company commissioned a new manufacturing plant at Tarapur in 2006 and further expanded by acquiring Macrotech Polychem Private Limited in 2019. In 2021-22, NGL Fine-Chem began constructing a new plant in Tarapur and expanded its subsidiary, Macrotech Polychem.
