Operating under its proprietary brands, "Vandana" and "Tanaya," the company enjoys recognition in India's textile industry. Founded initially as a small saree shop in the pre-independence era by Shri Govind Ram Lohia, the business grew through successive generations of the Lohia family. In 1992, it transitioned into a corporate structure as N.R. Design Centre Private Limited, later evolving into its current name in 2024 when it became a public limited Company.
The company set its first manufacturing facility in Hooghly, Kolkata in 1998 and has scaled operations significantly since then, producing over 3,000 printed sarees per day as of now. Leadership contributions from the third-generation family members, Shri Prabhu Lohia and Shri Gyanesh Lohia, resulted in product line diversification, with salwar suits launched in 2016 and bedsheets added in 2023. The expansion efforts also include the establishment of a warehouse in Jetpur, Rajkot, Gujarat in 2017. Its state-of-the-art, 39,000 sq ft factory in Kolkata plays a pivotal role in handling production at scale.
