Murudeshwar Ceramics Limited (MCL), founded in 1983, specializes in the manufacture and trade of Ceramic and Vitrified floor and wall tiles, branded as 'Naveen Ceramic Tiles' and 'Naveen Diamontile'. Operating two manufacturing plants in Karnataka and Pondicherry, MCL has expanded its production capabilities over the years, initially starting with 12,500 tpa of glazed ceramic tiles and gradually increasing to a substantial capacity of 75,000 tpa due to strategic expansions and diversification projects. The company sources technical expertise from Sacmi Imola, Italy, enhancing production efficiency.
MCL's growth includes a significant Rs 66-crore expansion project for larger tile production and establishing a Coal Gasification unit for energy efficiency. It further expanded its showroom presence and distribution network by 2005. In recent years, MCL has increased production capacities at its Sira and Karaikal plants and acquired shares in RNS Power Limited, enhancing its operational and strategic scope.
