About Modern Steels Ltd
Modern Steels Limited, established in 1973, specializes in manufacturing carbon and alloy steel, with a production facility in Gobindgarh, Punjab. The company initially focused on converting billets into rolled products, with a melting capacity of 100,000 tons per annum (tpa) and a rolling mill capacity of 50,000 tpa. Over the years, Modern Steels has enhanced its production capabilities by installing advanced equipment, such as Electro Magnetic Stirrers, a Vacuum Degassing Plant, and a 600 mm Rolling Mill. It has expanded its services to include peeling, grinding bars, forging, machining, and assembly of auto steel components.
In 2014, Modern Steels diversified by adding a gasifier unit, heat treatment facilities, and a forge shop. The company further augmented its capabilities with the development of new grades in the tool and die segment and commissioning an Auto Component Division. In 2022, through a Business Transfer Agreement, the assets and operations of the Gobindgarh plant were transferred to Arjas Modern Steel Pvt.
