MKP Mobility Limited, originally Chitradurga Spintex Limited, was established in 1990 and transitioned to a public entity in 1992. The company, rebranded in December 2022, focuses on distributing and exporting automotive parts, industrial products, mechanical and electronic components, auto care products, lubricants, tyres, batteries, and refurbished parts. Initially, it ventured into cotton yarn manufacturing, setting up a plant in Karnataka with financial backing from KSIIDC and KSFC, and commenced production in 1993.
By 1995, MKP Mobility diversified its yarn production with imported conversion kits from the Czech Republic and expanded its capacity. To fund this expansion, they issued 3 million equity shares in January 1995. The company made strategic enhancements to its production facilities, including installing a new 320 KVA DG set and chute feeding systems for improved quality and efficiency. However, it ceased spinning activities and sold some textile machinery by the end of 2008, marking a shift in its operational focus.
