Majestic Auto Ltd (MAL), founded in 1973, originally produced auto components such as silencers, fine blanking components, and bicycle spokes, with facilities in Ludhiana and Greater Noida. Initially, MAL manufactured mopeds but faced financial challenges, leading to a focus on exporting, which improved its financial performance by 1991-92. The company expanded its product range in the 1990s and increased capacity for motorized two-wheelers by 1997-98. However, in 2003, MAL transferred its Ghaziabad unit assets to Hero Motors Limited, significantly reducing its equity share capital.
In recent years, MAL shifted from manufacturing to service-based operations due to declining viability in manufacturing, ceasing production in 2017-18. It diversified into facility management and office space leasing. The company also ventured into IT services by establishing Majestic IT Services Limited in 2010 and acquired Emirates Technologies Private Limited in 2014-15, reflecting its strategic pivot towards service and technology sectors.
