LWS Knitwear Ltd, a member of the LWS Group based in Ludhiana, was initially incorporated as a private entity in May 1989 and transitioned to a public limited company by April 1991. Specializing in the manufacturing of hosiery goods, knitted cloth, and garments, the company expanded its operations in 1994 to include the production of lambs wool and angora blended yarn, with an installed capacity of 120 tonnes per annum, primarily for hosiery knitwear. This expansion was supported by a public issue in April 1994 to fund a new manufacturing unit in Ludhiana, Punjab.
Further enhancing its production capabilities, LWS Knitwear Ltd installed new machinery in the fiscal year 2015-16, indicating a commitment to modernization and increased efficiency in its manufacturing processes. This strategic development positions the company as a competitive player in the knitwear and yarn manufacturing industry.
