About LAPL Automotive Ltd

LAPL Automotive Limited (formerly LAPL Automotive Private Limited) was incorporated on November 30, 2004 in Maharashtra and later converted into a public limited company, receiving a fresh certificate of incorporation on December 13, 2024. The company designs, manufactures, and supplies a wide range of automotive components and accessories for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and heavy vehicles. Manufacturing operations began with a unit at Waluj, Aurangabad in 2012 focused on automotive lighting components. The company expanded in 2017 by opening a Motor Division and Assembling Unit (Unit C-241) and has since grown organically by adding two more manufacturing plants and diversifying beyond lighting into additional product lines. Currently, LAPL operates three manufacturing units in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Its portfolio spans four main segments: lighting (including tail lamps, indicators, reflectors, head lamps, stop/position/reverse/roof lamps), mirrors (rear view mirrors), motors (starter motors, wiper motors, rotors), and other components/accessories (such as hoods, stators, and small BLDC fans), serving multiple vehicle categories. The company operates as both an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) and an Original Brand Manufacturer (OBM) under the “LAPL” brand. Under ODM, it designs and manufactures components for customers who sell under their own brands or integrate them into vehicle production; under OBM, it controls the full chain from design and engineering through manufacturing, branding, marketing, and sales. LAPL is planning an IPO via a fresh issue of 32,40,000 equity shares to raise Rs 25.2 crore.
