About Lakshmi Finance & Industrial Corporation Ltd Lakshmi Finance & Industrial Corporation Limited, originally incorporated as The Andhra Bank Limited in 1993, transitioned from banking to financial services following the nationalization of Andhra Bank in 1980. The company initially engaged in leasing, hire purchase, and corporate finance, and briefly in manufacturing PET containers and injection molded components from 1988 to 2002. Due to unfavorable market conditions and regulatory challenges, it shifted focus to investment activities in equities, mutual funds, and securities. Registered as a Non-Banking Financial Institution by the Reserve Bank of India in 1998, Lakshmi Finance repaid all deposits by 2002 and now operates without accepting public deposits. The company has consistently paid dividends since 1982 and issued bonus shares in 1992, 1996, and 2009. After delisting from the Hyderabad and Madras Stock Exchanges, its shares have been listed on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) since April 15, 2015.
