About Lakshmi Engineering & Warehousing Ltd Lakshmi Automatic Loom Works Limited, established in December 1973, is a manufacturer of spares and accessories for automatic weaving machines, circular knitting machines, and machine tool parts. Initially entering a technical collaboration with Ruti Machinery Works, Switzerland, in 1974, the company began producing high-speed C type automatic looms by 1977. Over the years, collaborations with Sulzer, Switzerland, and Terrot Stickmaschinen, Germany, expanded its product line to include air jet weaving and high-speed circular knitting machines.
Despite financial challenges leading to a BIFR filing in 1998, the company rebounded with a positive net worth by 2010 and was discharged from BIFR jurisdiction. Future plans include implementing ISO-9001 standards and Total Quality Management, alongside new shuttleless loom and circular knitting machine models. The Knitting Machinery Division has operated as a 100% Export Oriented Unit since 2002, underscoring the company's commitment to international market competitiveness.
