KKV Agro Powers Limited, originally incorporated as Nachas Wind Energy Private Limited in 2012, is a Coimbatore-based company engaged in power generation from renewable energy sources, specifically wind and solar. Transitioning to a public limited company in 2015, it has a combined installation capacity of 10.6 MW, comprising 7.6 MW from wind and 3 MW from solar projects, all located in Tamil Nadu. The company has also diversified into trading precious metals and agricultural ventures.
Additionally, KKV Agro Powers trades Renewable Energy Certificates through platforms like IEX and PXIL. With a strategic focus on expanding its renewable energy capacities, improving operational efficiency, and leveraging capital markets, the company aims to establish itself as a leading independent renewable energy producer in India. It made a public issue in 2016 to raise Rs. 3.58 Crore and continues to enhance its energy generation capabilities, having commissioned a new 2 MW solar plant in 2021.
