Kilitch Drugs (India) Limited (KDIL), established in 1992, is a pharmaceutical company specializing in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of finished dosages, with a strong focus on injectables. The company is a significant player in the Indian market for injectables and is one of the largest manufacturers of cephalosporins in Africa, with manufacturing units in India and Ethiopia. KDIL's product range includes solid, liquid, and parenteral pharmaceutical solutions.
Initially, KDIL's operations were centered in Thane, India, where it began commercial production in 1996. The company expanded its reach by setting up a pharmaceutical formulation plant in Yemen and exporting to regions such as Sudan, the Middle East, Miami, and South America. KDIL has also ventured into the OTC market with products like Clue-Plus and Kilitch Balm. In 2011, KDIL sold its Paonta Sahib business but retained its brand and manufacturing rights in Mumbai, transferring some product manufacturing rights to Akorn India Pvt. Ltd.
