About KIC Metaliks Ltd KIC Metaliks Ltd., established in 1986, is a manufacturer and seller of pig iron with production facilities near Durgapur, West Bengal. The company specializes in converting pig iron into castings such as cast iron manhole covers and gully gratings, catering to clients in West Europe, the US, the UK, and West Asia. Significant expansions have enhanced their production capabilities, including the commissioning of a Hot Blast Stove in 2007, a 3,36,000 MTPA Annular Sinter Plant, and a Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant in 2012.
Further modernization efforts in 2013-14 increased the Mini Blast Furnace's capacity from 1,10,000 MT to 1,65,000 MT, and subsequent expansions in 2019-20 and 2020-21 saw the installation of a Pulverized Coal Injection system and a new Annular Sinter Plant, elevating capacity to 2,35,000 MTPA. In 2022-23, KIC Metaliks reported a hot metal production of 1,61,857 MT, underscoring its focus on enhancing productivity and cost efficiency.
