Kemp & Co Ltd, established on June 27, 1982, initially operated in the pharmaceutical sector in Mumbai and across India. Over the years, the company diversified into various industries, including toy manufacturing and retailing luggage products. In 1993, it expanded into modular office furniture systems through the amalgamation with Furn Plastic Industries Limited, forming the OFS Division. This division was later demerged in 2001 to become part of Blow Plast Ergonomics Limited (now BP Ergo Ltd), granting Kemp & Co Ltd shareholders equity in the new entity.
Post-demerger, Kemp & Co Ltd refocused on retailing luggage products, notably through VIP luggage outlets in Delhi and Calcutta. Currently, the company is primarily involved in real estate activities, trading hard and soft luggage, and making investments. Its strategic presence in major cities and diverse business interests provide a foundation for growth in both the real estate and retail sectors.
