About Kay Power & Paper Ltd Kay Pulp and Paper Mills Limited, established in 1991, is a public company specializing in the production of MG Kraft Paper. Situated in Borgaon, Maharashtra, the company's production capacity has grown from 15,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) to 20,000 tpa as of 2015-16. The company also operates a 6 MW power plant, primarily for captive power generation. Throughout its history, Kay Pulp and Paper Mills has undertaken significant expansions and technological upgrades, including the addition of a new boiler and machinery in 2023. Despite facing financial challenges, leading to its classification as a sick unit by the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) in 2007, the company filed a Rehabilitation Scheme and has continued its operations. Its strategic focus on maintaining and enhancing production capabilities positions it as a significant player in the kraft paper industry.
