About Jay Ushin Ltd Jay Ushin Ltd., originally established as Jay Yuhshin in 1986, is a prominent manufacturer in the automotive sector, focusing on components such as lock sets, switches, heater control panels, and door latches. The company, initially an OE Supplier to Maruti Udyog, expanded its clientele to include major automobile and two-wheeler manufacturers like Bajaj Auto and Kinetic Honda Motors. Despite financial challenges from 1992 to 1994, Jay Ushin achieved a turnaround in 1994-95, posting a net profit.
The company has strengthened its technological prowess through collaborations, notably with YNS Inc., Japan for instrument clusters and Shinchang Electrics Co. Ltd., Korea for lock sets and switches. Jay Ushin expanded its production capabilities in the late '90s, establishing a manufacturing facility in Chennai. In 2002, the company rebranded to Jay Ushin Ltd. and further expanded its global presence by incorporating a subsidiary, Apoyo International PTE. LTD., in Singapore in 2018-19.
