The company is known for its popular whisky brands such as Aristocrat, Black Velvet, and Fortune Gold, contributing to its Rs 500 crore liquor business. Over the years, it has diversified its operations to include glass manufacturing and various joint ventures, including a noteworthy collaboration with Hiram Walker (India), resulting in the launch of Teacher's Scotch whisky.
In line with its strategic focus on the alcohol sector, Jagatjit Industries sold its health drink brands, Viva and Maltova, to Smithkline Beecham Consumer Healthcare. The company has also expanded its malted milk food division and launched new whisky brands, including AC Black Pure Grain Whisky and KH8 Scotch Whisky. The controlling stake is held by LPJ Holdings Private Limited, making it a subsidiary since 2018-19.
