Jagan Lamps Limited (JLL), established as a public limited company in January 1993, specializes in the manufacturing of auto bulbs, halogen lamps, and electric bikes. The company operates a dedicated plant, set up at a cost of Rs.7.85 crore as a 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU), for producing H4 type halogen lamps. This facility was developed through a technical and financial partnership with Li-Tech Corporation from South Korea, which holds a 9% equity stake. JLL entered the primary market in April 1995 to fund this project.
In 2000-01, JLL innovated its product line by introducing bulbs that emit various types of light—Super white, Xemon, Gold, and Green—catering to the preferences of new-generation drivers. This strategic move highlights the company’s focus on offering advanced lighting solutions in the automotive sector.
