About Insecticides India Ltd Insecticides India Limited (IIL) is a leading agrochemical company, initially established as a private entity in December 1996 and later becoming public. The company commenced commercial production in March 2002 at its Chopanki Unit in Rajasthan, followed by the Samba Unit in J&K in 2004. IIL specializes in manufacturing a diverse range of agrochemicals, pesticides, and technical products, primarily focusing on insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and plant growth regulators. The company also offers household pesticides and is recognized for its major brands, including Lethal, Victor, and Thimet.
With an emphasis on innovation and research, IIL has expanded its product portfolio to include biologicals and other advanced crop protection solutions. The company's manufacturing capacity stands at 60 lakh liters of Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC) and 10,500 MT of granules annually. Notable developments include a joint venture R&D center with Japan's OAT Agi Agiro Co. and the introduction of pioneering products like Mycoraja and Green Label. In recent years, IIL has launched innovative products in collaboration with Nissan, Japan, under its "Make in India" initiative.
