(IRSIL) is India’s largest dedicated polyester manufacturer, focusing on polyester filament yarn, polyester staple fiber, draw texturized yarn, specialty fiber, and chips. The company operates an integrated manufacturing complex in Butibori, Nagpur, with an annual capacity of 6,10,050 tonnes. IRSIL is involved in both manufacturing and trading spun yarn, along with power generation primarily for its own use. The company has partnerships with international firms like Chemtex International and Dupont for technical collaborations and exports its products to markets including the US and Europe.
IRSIL has undergone strategic expansions, increasing polyester production capacity significantly and restructuring by demerging its spun yarn business into a separate entity, Indo Rama Textiles Limited. The company has implemented SAP R/3 to enhance operational efficiency and is exploring new markets in Latin America. Recent initiatives include expanding polyester production capacity and transitioning to coal-based power generation to improve cost efficiency.
