IMEC Services Limited, initially incorporated as Ruchi Strips & Alloys Limited in 1987, transitioned from manufacturing cold rolled steel products to focusing on management and consultancy services. Originally established to produce cold rolled steel coils and sheets with a capacity of 100,000 TPA, the company provided materials for automotive and consumer durable industries. However, in March 2011, the steel division was sold to RSAL Steel Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ruchi Strips and Alloys Limited. Following the demerger, IMEC Services pivoted to trading various products, including steel and agro commodities.
In 2016-17, IMEC Services entered the management and consultancy sector, specializing in engineering, information technology, and technical fields. This strategic shift led to a company rebranding, officially changing its name to IMEC Services Limited in October 2018. Currently, the company's primary focus is on delivering consultancy services, marking a significant transformation from its original manufacturing roots.
