I G Petrochemicals Ltd. (IGPL), part of the Dhanuka Group, is a prominent manufacturer of Phthalic Anhydride (PAN), with one of the world's largest production capacities at 166,000 MT per annum. Initially a 100% Export Oriented Unit, it now operates as a Domestic Tariff Area Unit since 2008. IGPL primarily serves industries like Phthalate Plasticizers, Paints, PVC Compounds, Dyes, and Pigments. The company expanded its production capacity significantly over the years, with key expansions in 2013 and 2020, and introduced advanced plasticizers to its product line.
Despite challenges such as losses in 2001-02 due to falling international prices, IGPL has continued to grow and diversify. In 2017, it acquired the Maleic Anhydride business from Mysore Petro Chemicals Limited. With a wholly owned subsidiary in the UAE, IGPL has established a global presence in the petrochemical sector, catering to diverse industrial applications.
