About Honda India Power Products Ltd Honda India Power Products Limited, initially established as a joint venture between Honda Motor Co., Japan, and Shriram Industrial Enterprises in 1985, is a leading manufacturer of portable gensets, water pumps, engines, and several other power products. Honda Motor Co. holds a 66.67% stake in the company. With manufacturing facilities in Rudrapur, Pondicherry, and Greater Noida, the company has been at the forefront of indigenization, introducing in-house production capabilities for key components.
Honda India has received the ISO 9001 certification and achieved Export House status, exporting to more than 25 countries across Africa, Europe, South America, and Asia. Over the years, it has expanded its product range with innovations like the EU65is generator, new tiller models, and the country's first 4-stroke powered heavy-duty brush cutter. The transition to petrol-powered engines and water pumps was completed in FY 2021-22, alongside the launch of new water pump models, reinforcing its position as a key player in the power product industry.
