The company initially gained capital through a public issue in 1995, raising ₹3.87 crore to support long-term working capital needs and strengthen its capital base. Specializing in the manufacture of detergents, toothpaste, and shaving creams, Hipolin also exports its products to Russia, with export earnings of ₹62.98 lakh in 1994-95. The company expanded its operations by amalgamating Hipolin Products and Hipolin Surfactants and taking over Ramit Traders and Fresh Laboratories.
In 1995-96, Hipolin diversified into renewable energy by starting electricity generation through wind farm technology. By 1998, it had further expanded its product line to include dental hygiene products and cosmetics.
