(HLCL), established in 1985, is a pioneering Indo-Italian joint venture specializing in the production of a wide array of chemicals and coatings, particularly for the leather industry. With a foundation in technical collaborations with European companies like ICAP-SIRA, A Smit and Zoon, and Forbo Helmitin, HLCL offers over 250 products, including fat liquors, finishing chemicals, and specialty shoe adhesives. The company was the first in India to undertake government-sponsored research in Polyurethane Dispersion and Polymeric Fat Liquors.
