Happy Steels Limited was incorporated on June 14, 1996 as Happy Steels Private Limited and later converted into a public limited company. The company changed its name to Happy Steels Limited, with a fresh Certificate of Incorporation issued by the Registrar of Companies, Chandigarh on March 20, 2025. The company is an integrated manufacturer of safety-critical, forged and machined transmission and driveline components for on-highway, off-highway, EV and defence applications. Its product portfolio includes axles, long spline shafts, spindles, and other related components. Happy Steels operates a manufacturing unit in Ludhiana, Punjab. As of FY2025, installed capacity was 8,640.00 MT per annum for cutting, 7,776.00 MT per annum for forging, and 4,492.80 MT per annum for machining. The company set up a Machine Component Division in 2007 to transition from conventional machining to CNC machining, and commissioned a second 1200-ton heavy duty horizontal forging press and a heat treatment furnace in 2013 to enhance capacity. The company reported FY2025 production volumes of 5,247.83 MT per annum (cutting), 4,545.43 MT per annum (forging), and 3,321.47 MT per annum (machining). It has filed a Draft Prospectus with SEBI and plans a fresh issue of 38,50,000 equity shares of face value Rs 10 each.
