About GSP Crop Science Ltd GSP Crop Science Limited, originally established as Gujarat Superphosphate Industries Private Limited in 1985, is a research-driven agrochemical company based in India. The company specializes in developing and manufacturing insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and plant growth regulators. Operating under two business segments—Formulations and Technicals—GSP Crop Science produces both ready-to-use pesticide formulations and technical-grade active ingredients that are further processed into formulated products.
The company began its operations with the manufacture of Technicals at its Odhav facility in 1993 and later expanded into Formulations at its Kathwada facility in 1995. Over the years, GSP Crop Science has continued to grow its manufacturing footprint and product portfolio. In 2009, it launched a facility for technical production at Nandesari and became India’s first indigenous manufacturer of Diafenthiuron Technical in 2011. It further diversified its operations by establishing a manufacturing plant in Samba, Jammu & Kashmir, through its subsidiary in 2017, and commissioned a formulation R&D pilot plant in 2022 at Kathwada. Expanding globally, the company acquired a subsidiary in Brazil in 2023 to serve the Latin American market.
As part of its growth strategy, GSP Crop Science Limited is planning an Initial Public Offering (IPO) to raise Rs. 280 crore through a fresh issue of equity shares, along with the issuance of 6,000,000 equity shares via an offer for sale. Its focus on innovation, geographic expansion, and an end-to-end value chain in agrochemicals positions it as a significant player in the Indian and Latin American agrochemical industries.
