Gratex Industries Limited, originally established as Gratex Decorative Industries Limited in 1984, is a public company based in Maharashtra, primarily focusing on paper and paper products. The company specializes in the manufacturing and trading of wallpapers, profiles, catalogues, and furniture-related products. It also offers training programs for karigars and sales staff. Initially starting from a modest setup, Gratex expanded to a 20,000 square feet facility in Navi Mumbai. Despite a production capacity of 84,000 vinyl rolls and 180,000 non-vinyl rolls annually, the company produced 72,000 vinyl rolls and 36,000 non-vinyl rolls in 1993-94. Due to a lack of demand, Gratex ceased the manufacturing of non-vinyl rolls, redirecting resources to maximize vinyl roll production.
