About Graphite India Ltd Graphite India Ltd is a leading manufacturer of graphite electrodes and related carbon products in India. Established in 1974, the company has expanded its operations to include the production of high-speed steel, alloy steel, and glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) pipes. It operates three main segments: Graphite and Carbon, Power, and Others, with manufacturing facilities spread across Maharashtra, West Bengal, Karnataka, and Jharkhand. To support its energy-intensive production processes, Graphite India has an 18 MW hydel power generation capacity for captive use.
The company has grown through strategic mergers and acquisitions, including the amalgamation of several subsidiaries and the acquisition of international assets. Graphite India has a strong focus on expanding its production capabilities, particularly in Durgapur, West Bengal, and has formed long-term agreements to secure cost-effective power supply.
