About Global Capital Markets Ltd Global Capital Markets Ltd, initially incorporated as Baid & Company Pvt Ltd in 1989, is an RBI-registered Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) involved in finance and investments, including equity, FNO, and commodities trading. Founded by Inder Chand Baid, a Chartered Accountant and member of The Calcutta Stock Exchange Association, the company transitioned to a public entity in 1993 and adopted its current name in 1994. It expanded into leasing high-value equipment and machinery in 1993-94 and has since aimed to broaden its service offerings to include both fund- and non-fund-based services.
To bolster its capital and support business expansion, Global Capital Markets executed a public issue in 1995 and raised Rs. 16.62 crores in 2002 through private placement, acquiring a 21.32% stake in GCM Securities Limited. In 2011, the company diversified into infrastructure and software sectors, providing infrastructure facilities and software solutions to mobile operators to enhance its business portfolio and maximize returns.
