Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited (GFL), a subsidiary of Inox Leasing and Finance Limited, is the largest producer of chloromethanes, refrigerants, and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in India. Founded in 1987, GFL is part of the Inox Group, which spans various sectors including industrial gases, engineering plastics, and renewable energy. With a strong focus on fluorine chemistry, GFL produces refrigerant gases, fluoro-intermediates, and diverse fluoropolymers catering to industries such as automotive and pharmaceuticals.
GFL operates globally, having phased out CFC and HCFC production under environmental protocols and advanced into PTFE production at a facility in Dahej, Gujarat. The company also expands into entertainment and wind energy through subsidiaries like INOX Leisure and INOX Wind. It has pursued strategic international collaborations and expansions, including ventures in the USA, Germany, and China. Additionally, GFL is involved in renewable energy through wind farm projects and its Fluorspar beneficiation project in Morocco.
