Gayatri Sugars Limited, originally incorporated as NCS Gayatri Sugars Limited in 1995 and renamed in 2003, operates in the integrated fields of sugar manufacturing, distillery, and power generation. The company has two sugarcane-based units in Telangana, strategically located near Visakhapatnam Port. Initially starting with a capacity of 2500 TCD in 1997, Gayatri Sugars expanded its capacity to 3500 TCD by 2001 and further to a combined crushing capacity of 7000 TCD by 2021-22. It also operates a 25.25 MW co-generation power plant and a distillery unit with a capacity of 45 KLPD, which was modified in 2015-16 to produce ethanol instead of ENA.
In 2021-22, Gayatri Sugars manufactured 20 lakh liters of ethanol directly from cane syrup, enhancing its product offerings. The merger with GSR Sugars Pvt. Ltd in 2010 contributed to its growth, increasing its crushing capacity significantly. With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, Gayatri Sugars positions itself as a key player in the sugar and renewable energy sectors.
