Initially focused on automotive gears, the company strategically shifted towards traction gears. It expanded its product line in 1978 to include gear box housing for automobiles and later diversified into precision gears for Indian Railways, cooling towers, and various process industries such as cement, steel, and sugar.
By 1993, G.G Automotive Gears Ltd began producing industrial gearboxes for oil extraction, gears for plastic extrusion machines, and material handling equipment for port trusts. In 1995, it completed a project for locomotive gears and gear pumps. The company boasts a prestigious clientele, including BHEL, Indian Railways, and the Uranium Corporation, and has penetrated the export market with orders from General Electric, US. In the early 2000s, it achieved a key milestone with General Motors and introduced hydraulic gear pumps for loaders and earthmovers.
