About Evans Electric Ltd Evans Electric Limited, originally incorporated as a private entity in 1951 and converted to a public company in 2019, specializes in the repair and maintenance of large electric motors, generators, and transformers. Serving diverse sectors such as power generation, oil and gas, and manufacturing, the company offers comprehensive services including rewinding, repair, and the manufacturing of replacement components like coils and insulators. Its factory in Palghar, Maharashtra, spans 30,000 sq. ft., providing both factory and on-site services for equipment too large to transport.
Under the leadership of Mr. Ivor Anthony Desouza and Mr. Nelson Lionel Fernandes, Evans Electric combines decades of engineering expertise with modern techniques in high voltage rewinds, challenging traditional OEMs in large motor repairs. Notable achievements include the repair of 40,000 KvA generators for the Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Board and nuclear-powered generator components. The company further expanded its capabilities by raising Rs 1.93 Crores through an IPO in 2019.
