About Emmvee Photovoltaic Power Ltd Emmvee Photovoltaic Power Limited, originally established in 2007 as Emmvee Toughened Glass and Photovoltaics Private Limited, is a solar energy-focused company engaged in the manufacturing of solar cells, photovoltaic modules, and systems. The company also undertakes grid and off-grid photovoltaic power projects on a turnkey basis and operates solar power plants. Its customers include independent power producers (IPPs), entities in the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) service providers across both public and private sectors. The company converted to its current name and public status on May 7, 2025.
With operations based in Karnataka, Emmvee manages four manufacturing units and offers a product portfolio including bifacial and mono-facial formats of TOPCon modules and cells, as well as Mono PERC modules. As of May 2025, the company has a solar PV module production capacity of 7.80 GW, expanded significantly from 0.50 GW in April 2022, and a solar cell production capacity of 2.94 GW. The company has also announced plans to further enhance its capacity by adding a 2.50 GW production line at an upcoming facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka, scheduled to begin operations in 2026.
Having established itself with over 18 years of experience in solar technology, Emmvee commenced commercial production of solar PV modules in 2007 and solar cells in 2024. The company's robust manufacturing footprint supports its position in both domestic and international renewable energy markets.
Emmvee is preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) with plans to raise Rs. 3000 crore. This includes a fresh issue of Rs. 2,144 crore and an offer for sale of Rs. 856 crore. The IPO proceeds are expected to support its growth initiatives and operational expansion.
