About Ecoboard Industries Ltd Ecoboard Industries Ltd, formerly Western Bio System Limited, was founded in November 1991 and specializes in manufacturing and exporting particle boards from agricultural residues such as bagasse, rice husk, and cotton waste. The company also engages in the design and supply of systems for biogas recovery, bio-energy generation, and effluent treatment, either as turnkey projects or as equipment suppliers and consultants. Ecoboard has established 20 biogas plants for major Indian distilleries and exported technology to London.
Following a merger with Deccan Fibre Boards Limited, the company adopted its current name and expanded its operations. The Velapur plant, operational since July 1999, made Ecoboard the largest particle board producer in India. The company enhanced its production capacity from 15 lakh to 51 lakh square meters annually. Ecoboard also introduced 'EcoRak' in its EcoBuild Division in 2022-23, diversifying its product offerings to cater to various market needs.
