The company specializes in manufacturing steel drums and barrels, primarily used for the storage and transportation of oils, solvents, and chemicals. With United Nations approval for packing hazardous materials, PCL ensures safe and cost-effective packaging solutions, particularly for petroleum and chemical industries.
To enhance cost efficiency, PCL is exploring backward integration through a new steel-rolling plant. However, due to financial difficulties, the company was declared a Sick Industrial Unit by the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) during 2002-03. Currently, PCL is undergoing procedural steps for revival, with its registration with BIFR remaining active.
