Diana Tea Company Ltd
About Diana Tea Company Ltd Diana Tea Company Limited (DTCL) is a tea manufacturing and sales company established in August 2011, primarily operating in West Bengal. Originally promoted by Nawab Gulam Jabbar & Family, the company was taken over by the Aares Group in 1976, boosting its production from 2.5 lakh kg to 10 lakh kg annually. DTCL expanded by acquiring Baintgoorie Tea Estate in 1983, adding to its original Diana Tea Estate, both located in Jalpaiguri. The estates are equipped with processing factories capable of producing CTC tea with a combined capacity of 5000 tons. DTCL raised funds through a public issue in 1995 to expand production and improve quality. Although establishing a new factory at Ambari Tea Estate in 1999, the company faced challenges due to a significant crop loss from severe droughts. The company streamlined its operations by ceasing its subsidiary, Sage Organics Private Limited, in January 2020.
